Samantha is currently a senior at Utah State University studying Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education. She plans on continuing her education to pursue a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology to work with young children in the educational system. This field of study became her passion as she has grown up and worked with her little sister, who has special needs, and has observed the effect that her sister’s speech-language pathologist has had on her life. She has the privilege of being on the Logan LDS Institute student council as the president of a service committee that serves the community on a weekly basis. This semester, she has the opportunity of working as a senior clinician with a client of her own. In addition to working with SLPs, she has been involved in serving the community, and volunteers in the Early Childhood Language Lab with Sandra and Ron Gillam working as a valuable member on several studies. Samantha looks forward to completing her senior year at Utah State as she prepares for a successful life as a speech-language pathologist.
